One of the main reasons the world demonizes Israel is because the world views the arabs as victims who have no opportunity and are forced to live in degrading conditions that consist of the refugee camps. These camps don't just exist within Israel, there is one in Jordan and one in Lebanon and the arabs living there are living in the most horrific conditions as less than sub-human creatures.

Whenever there is a conflict in the world, the UN does all it can to help the displaced people from the conflict rehabilitate themselves and allow them to live a full and rewarding life. Unfortunately, the UN has not fulfilled its moral obligation to the palestinian refugees. The UNHCR is the arm of the UN that deals with refugees all over the world. Their purpose is to

safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or to resettle in a third country. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.

In other words, help the refugees learn to live life normally again.

the agency has helped tens of millions of people restart their lives.

Unfortunately, the UN has not been able to fulfill the needs of the palestinian people by helping them restart their lives. The UN has another branch dedicated solely for the needs of the palestinian people. This organization is called the UNRWA. Their stated purpose is NOT to help these people restart their lives.

UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) provides assistance, protection and advocacy for some 4.7 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the occupied Palestinian territory, pending a solution to their plight.

The important phrase here is the "pending a solution to their plight". This means, that the UNRWA is only there to give free handouts to the palestinian people without helping them restart their lives. The solution they see is Palestine actually becoming a country so that all the palestinians can achive their "right to return". They are essentially putting these palestinian refugees into a situation where they remain desperately poor without normal opportunities. In other words, creating a welfare state situation in the refugee camps where there is no progress amongst palestinians and they have to rely on donations from the rest of the world(aka you and me) in order to survive.

I think this extra UN organization is not helping their intended target and is in fact wasting money that could be used to really build up palestinians so that they could actually be ready for statehood. Living in conditions like they are currently only encourages palestinians to be more violent and prone to terrorism. If they had opportunities to advance like their neighbors, aka Israelis, then they wouldn't have an excuse to become terrorists because they would be educated and live in prosperity. And generally, people don't want to be terrorists and kill themselves for extremism if life is fun and pleasant.

The UNRWA is the only organization of its kind because most countries merely use the UNHCR. Having this extra organization makes it seem like the palestinians have it worse than the rest of the world, which includes refugees of darfur(where there is genocide), african refugees who have AIDS, and afghanis who have fled from an actual war. It seems odd that oalestinians should be getting extra treatment when their problem seems to be that they live in refugee camps.

I believe that the UN is failing to help these people and are in fact perpetuating the problem that we call the middle east. I am starting an organization to help palestinians get off the refugee camps by simply abolishing them and forcing every country that has one--including Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon to acclimate them into society and allow them to be normal citizens. Let the arabs in Israel be Israeli Arabs. But since I know they are committed to Israel's destruction and so being part of Israel may taint their honor, why don't the refugees acclimate in Jordan and Lebbanon? After all, Jordan specifically was in the original mandate of 1948. Jordanians therefore are practically palestinians. Let the palestinians finally be acclimated into society and be able to start a new life.

The palestinians living in the "concentration" camp of gaza will be given status as egyptian citizens and egypt will have control of gaza.

Then, palestinians living in the Jordanian moderate society will live in peace and will forget how much they want Israel to be destroyed. Egyptians will take care of the Hamas thugs and allow the gazans to live in prosperity. And Israel will be free of terrorism. Everyone wins and there will be nore more instability in that part of the middle east.
